Completed in 1988, The Cataract Center of Lawton became Texoma's first Medicare approved outpatient surgery center dedicated to vision care. The Cataract Center of Lawton is located within the Young Eye Institute, and serves as our surgical center for performing vision related procedures.

The Cataract Center of Lawton features two state-of-the-art operating rooms where surgical vision procedures are performed.
For cataract surgery, each operating room is equipped with the Alcon Infiniti® Vision System. This is one of the most advanced cataract removal systems available today. It's computerized precision allows our surgeon to provide our patients with customized cataract surgery.
At The Cataract Center of Lawton, we offer our patients Advanced Technology Intraocular Lens Implants. These are the one latest advancements in lens design, and can allow many patients to see clearly after cataract surgery without the need for glasses or contacts.
Another form of advanced laser is also available here at The Young Eye Institute - the YAG laser. It is effective in performing certain types of operations without cutting the eye. Our surgeon frequently uses this laser to clear cloudy membranes which can occur months or even years after a cataract is removed. This laser procedure is also performed on an outpatient basis, so there is no hospitalization and you can return home immediately after the procedure.
